Disney Lorcana Collection Boxes – what you need to know
What is a Disney Lorcana Collection Box?
A Disney Lorcana Collection Box is a themed collectible product from Ravensburger that combines booster packs with exclusive content. The contents vary depending on the product, but usually include a number of booster packs from a current expansion and one or more exclusive promo cards with unique artwork. The promo card is often unique to that particular box edition and cannot be found in regular booster packs.
Collection boxes are released continuously in conjunction with new Lorcana expansions and thematic campaigns. They are popular among collectors who want a complete package with unique cards, and among players who want to expand their card pool with exclusive variants of popular Disney characters.
The promo card – the primary collecting goal
The exclusive promo card is what primarily differentiates a collection box from regular booster packs. These cards are often foil versions or alternative artwork variants of popular Disney characters and can become difficult to find in sealed condition over time. Collectors who prioritize promos sometimes buy multiple copies of the same product – one to open and one to keep sealed.
Protect the promo card immediately after opening with a toploaderto preserve its condition for potential grading or sale. Lorcana cards are graded by PSA and CGC just like Pokémon and MTG cards, and the condition is crucial for graded value.
Collection boxes as a gift
Disney Lorcana Collection Boxes are a popular gift option for Disney fans and TCG enthusiasts. The themed packaging with Disney artwork makes a strong first impression, and the exclusive content makes it a gift that offers more than regular booster packs. They are suitable for children and adults interested in Disney Lorcana and are a natural choice for anyone who wants to give something more complete than a single booster pack.
Sealed or open?
Sealed collection boxes in good condition can increase in value over time, especially from popular expansions or editions with exclusive promo cards. For collectors who prioritize long-term value, it is important to store sealed products in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight. Anyone opening their box should have toploadersand card sleevesready to protect the cards immediately.
