Prismatic Evolutions – 10 cards, rarities, and product guide

The Pokémon Cards in Prismatic Evolutions

Updated October 7, 2026.

Eevee can evolve into eight different Pokémon. In Prismatic Evolutions, that breadth is the very starting point: you can collect a favorite evolution, assemble the whole family, or hunt for different foil variants of the same card. Therefore, it is worth deciding what you want to collect before you start opening packs.

The English special set was launched on January 17, 2025. Here, we go through ten cards to recognize, how the variants differ, and which products you should look for.

The Eevee family gives the collection a clear direction

Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon represent the first evolutions. Espeon and Umbreon were added later, followed by Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. Instead of trying to collect everything at once, you can let one of them be the start of a smaller project.

For example, an Umbreon collection could include both a regular Pokémon card with a specific foil variant and an Umbreon ex with a larger illustration. They belong to the same theme, but are different cards to identify and price.

Ten cards to keep an eye on

The list applies to English cards and is a selection, not a price ranking. SIR stands for Special Illustration Rare.

Card Number Variant
Umbreon ex 161/131 SIR
Sylveon ex 156/131 SIR
Espeon ex 155/131 SIR
Leafeon ex 144/131 SIR
Glaceon ex 150/131 SIR
Vaporeon ex 149/131 SIR
Flareon ex 146/131 SIR
Jolteon ex 153/131 SIR
Eevee ex 167/131 SIR
Umbreon 059/131 Master Ball reverse holo
Umbreon ex Prismatic Evolutions

SIR and Master Ball are two different things

An SIR is a special card version with an illustration that extends across the card. Master Ball describes a pattern in the foil on a reverse holo variant. A card number is therefore not always enough to distinguish all versions.

When comparing Umbreon 059/131, you need to check the foil pattern. When comparing Umbreon ex 161/131, you need to match that specific card version. Also add language and condition to your search. Our valuation guide shows how to compare completed sales.

Which Prismatic Evolutions products should you choose?

As an English special set, Prismatic Evolutions does not have a standard booster box with 36 packs. Boosters are available in products such as Elite Trainer Boxes, Booster Bundles, and collection boxes.

  • Booster Bundle: an option when you primarily want to open packs. Check the quantity and price per pack.
  • Elite Trainer Box: fits when you also want the accessories and storage box. Read the content list for the specific release.
  • Collection Box: choose based on the promo and other contents you actually want to keep.

See Prismatic Evolutions at Hobbykort. The Japanese Terastal Festival ex is a separate release with a different card list and product structure.

Set a collection goal that is easy to follow

  1. Choose one evolution or the nine SIR cards in the Eevee family as a goal.
  2. Decide if foil variants should be included and mark them separately in your list.
  3. Set an opening budget. For a specific card, a single card can be a more direct path.
  4. Protect the cards and check what is missing before your next purchase.

Binders and albums help you get an overview. For products that should remain unopened, there are protective cases and acrylic boxes; check that the model fits the packaging.

Can a pack contain several rare cards?

Terms like "God Pack" are used for special openings, but they don't say anything about what your next pack contains. Read the guide to God Packs for the difference between reported outcomes and guaranteed product contents.
